Schönes Buch, allerdings ist es beim Anlesen nicht so lustig geschrieben wie das Buch "Banks Wall and Piece". Es gibt auch viele Überschneidungen, dh. viele Bilder aus "Wall and Piece" sind hier noch einmal abgebildet. Daher wird man irgendwann etwas unwillig wenn man dieses Buch hier anschaut. Ich denke es besser wäre gewesen nur Bilder hier zu zeigen, die nicht in "Wall und Piece" gezeigt werden und den Text auf wirklich lustige Kommentare von Banksy zu beschränken. Die Texte von anderen Autoren fand ich beim Anlesen nicht besonders spannend oder lustig, auch passt die coole Sprache nicht, denn in Wall und Piece ist der Text alles gut formuliert und versucht nicht cool zu sein....und daher wirklich lustig, das wird in "You are an acceptable......" nicht erreicht. Ich werde aber versuchen trotz meines momentanen Widerwillens die Texte fertig zu lesen, vielleicht ändert sich meine Meinung ja noch.
The photographs and especially the collection of artworks presented is really well done and a little bit of background on artworks is also provided, which I find very helpful. But there is also a lot of unnecessary and quite fake-sounding anti-establishment commentary going on, rather than letting the art speak for itself. It distracts me from Banksy's work and I oftentimes wonder if the authors were just looking for a place to rant along with the popular anti-everything trend.Not that this necessarily contradicts Banksy's intentions, but I intended to buy a book about Banksy's work, not a list of thoughts I am supposed to think, when I look at it.It was an interesting experiment to have someone else's opinion on his work, but it did not satisfy me content-wise.
Ich bin Banksy FAN und mag seine Kunst sehr - da er aus minimalistischen Graffitis wahre Kunst macht. Der Bildband ist wirklich empfehlenswert und zeigt die Werke der letzten Jahre nebst Beschreibung auf.
sehr schön gestaltetes buch, welches dem künstler wirklich gerecht wird und einen guten überblick gibt über die unglaubliche vielfalt des werks. mehr bansky in die strassen der welt!
My only comment is that I didn't pay attention that it is not written by Banksy himslef. so I was a bit disappointed, But in general, very nice book
Banksy ist Graffiti-Künstler, der den Namen wirklich verdient. Seine Werke sind oft wunderbar ironisch mit cooler Pointe. Dieses Buch ist sehr reich bebildert und wird dem Werk von Banksy wirklich gerecht! Wer die Werke Banksys mag, dem sei das Buch empfohlen!Einen Punkt muss ich aber für die Texte abziehen. Sie sollen wohl besonders cool sein, sind aber lediglich überflüssig. Irgendetwas über Banksys Leben erfährt man nicht. Im Gegenteil: Viele Texte setzen vorraus, dass man sich soweit mit der Materie auskennt, das man weiß, um was es geht. So wird erst eine halbe Seite über die Kritik an Banksys "Auftritt" in Bethleham verloren, bevor angeführt wird was er getan hat. Zudem bezieht sich der Text oft auf Werke, die ganz woanders im Buch abgebildet sind.Doch was zählt sind die Bilder und die sind Topp!
